The course is about ancient seafaring, focusing on how maritime links functioned. The course will begin with a chapter on sailing theory and practical seamanship in antiquity. The second chapter of the course will be a workshop analysing historic sailing events. Students will conduct and present a mini-study of ancient sailing in a context of choice.
